What to do if your rain boots are too tight?
Firstly, wear your cowboy welly boots in with thick socks on or a couple of pairs of socks. The rubber usually moulds to your feet in a pretty short amount of time.
Wellies are made from rubber which is heated to a very high temperature and then moulded to a last (the foot shape). The rubber then hardens into shape as it cools. This means that you can stretch your cowboy boots by applying heat from a hairdryer onto the specific areas but it is important to remember that you need to wear the boots in for a few days before doing anything, as they will naturally mould to your feet.
If you have worn the welly boots for more than a few days and they are still too tight, then you can apply heat to the critical area for some minutes with a hair dryer and then you must wear the boots immediately (when cool enough) to maintain the new shape that you have created. Wear them for a few hours so that the new shape is maintained.
You can also use boot stretchers which can be put into your boots and adjusted to the areas you need to expand. Keep checking them for size.
The more you wear your wellington boots, the more comfortable they become.
